A high-quality locally produced poultry product. No GMOs, hormones, or antibiotics are ever used, and poultry is moved to fresh pasture regularly. Poultry that has regular access to fresh pasture is associated with higher levels of heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids and other nutritional benefits. We can confidently say this product is better than non-GMO.

Although opinions are varied, some research and animal studies have suggested that GMO foods could be associated with health hazards including gastrointestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, infertility, and cancer. Some consumers are switching to non-GMO foods as a safer choice.

Pros: Locally raised. Small farm certified. Pasture-raised (better omega-3 to omega-6 ratio, higher levels of beneficial nutrients than non-pastured.) Feeds contain little or no GMOs (regulated by Non-GMO Project standards.) No antibiotics or hormones used in production.

Cons: Higher cost to product. Non-GMO standards regulate GMOs but not pesticide and herbicide use.
