Miller poultry is locally hatched, raised and processed. Ethical growing methods and humane treatment are a part of Miller Poultry's mission statement and policy. Chicks are hatched in Miller Poultry's own hatchery, then placed on local family farms and fed feeds mixed at Miller Poultry's own feed mill. No hormones, antibiotics, or animal by-products are ever used in feeds. Miller poultry is air-chilled; traditional chilling methods require chlorinated water, which is absorbed by the chicken and can hinder quality, taste, and tenderness. Pros: Air-chilled. Raised locally. No antibiotics ever.

Cons: Feeds contain GMOs and are typically grown with pesticides and herbicides. Higher in omega-6 fatty acids than pastured poultry. Lower levels of beneficial nutrients than pastured poultry.
